After immigrating to American the Amish remained a single brotherhood until about 1850. Since than the Amish have divided into numerous different denominations of Amish. Most of them holding on to the main principles of the Amish faith but divided over other issues that divided them into a different sect or denomination separating them into numerous different groups. A mission and revival founded by a group of Amish and non-Amish alike with a united vision to bring "spirit and life" to the sick and broken hearted and all in need of a helping hand.

The Amish became known as an independent culture already in the fist half of the 20th century. Meaning they got recognized as a thriving sustainable culture without the help from the government therefore making them an independent culture not needing to rely on any government. This historic victory allowed the Amish to have their own communities thrive without the interference of the federal government. This religious liberty was won only because the Amish took care of their own and made them an independent culture.
